The Team

Sacha is our main hygiene maintenance provider and a newcomer to the Southern Highlands. Sacha has been working in dentistry for more than ten years.

Sacha graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Oral Health, in the fields of Therapy and Hygiene and as she explains, "I am extremely passionate about my profession and like to bring a positive, understanding and comforting attitude to all my patients."

Sacha has many fur babies, and 4 years ago she rescued a stray cat when living in Gundagai and named her Gary (yes, Gary is female, long story). Harry Potter Fan? Sacha is what they call a “Potterhead”; let's just say the Harry Potter studio gift shop in London needed to restock their shelves.

Dental Assistant

Melanie is a talented and empathic person who we are very fortunate to have working as a Dental Assistant.
In a short time, she has mastered all the important aspects of making sure our patients are looked after well, and she's also super-dooper at making our dentists happy too.

Let's hear from Melanie:
I grew up in Mittagong, this is my first job after finishing high school. I spend a lot of time on the coast in summer, I love cats, and annoying friends and family with constant amateur ukulele playing.

Dental Assistant

Mary has been working at our practice since 2013 and studied hard to attain a Certificate III in Dental Assisting. Mary came into the dental world after many years of working in retail management, and has very much enjoyed the change! When not working at the clinic, Mary likes to train and run very long distances, and go for bushwalks with her loyal companion, her dog, Lola. She has added a qualification in massage therapy recently, so if we don't fix you, she might!

We gave Mary some more air-time in our Blog recently:

What is your secret superpower?

I can run 20kms up and down hills really fast. I am also a formidable arm-wrestling opponent.

What do you get up to when you’re not at work?

My fur baby Lola, the stick obsessed Kelpie, is my bushwalking partner. I’m a qualified massage therapist (you can find me @balancedbody). I love running, training and men in uniform.

What’s your best tip on keeping a healthy mouth?

Brush twice a day and ease up on the red frogs (note to self).

Shelly Mountford is our very experienced receptionist and treatment co-coordinator. Shelly has worked in just about every big dental practice in NSW over the last few decades; we’re thrilled she has settled down with us. You’ll find Shelly on the phone when you call and behind the desk when you arrive. Say a big hello!
Shelly also works with specialists to whom we also refer and she can help with appointments at these practices.

Shelly enjoys travel, meeting new people and of course, helping our patients

Senior Treatment Coordinator

Renée Law has been a dental assistant for more than sixteen and has loved every minute of it; just ask her! She is now the senior treatment coordinator for the office and is responsible for most of the important things that happen behind the scenes, as well as being one of the friendly faces to greet you when you arrive.

DMD, BBiomed(Hons)

Miree (rhymes with Siri), was born and raised in Melbourne. She is a second generation Korean, and elder sister to two cheeky little brothers. Dentistry has always been a passion for Miree, and she has been intrigued with the science and art behind the complexities of dentistry for most of her life. Miree enjoys meeting people and making sure they feel comfortable relaxed. As a child, Miree found she actually enjoyed going to her dentist, and she thinks that’s why she now likes people and teeth equally, and is very happy being a dentist and offering high quality care to all her patients.

Patrick Meaney is passionate about dentistry. He graduated from Sydney University’s Faculty of Dentistry in 1983 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree, but he decided to make dentistry a career well before this. Patrick grew up in the era when lots of dental intervention was common for children and teenagers and consequently he was, sometimes, awfully familiar with most aspects of dental treatment from a young age.
